The Role

Air Combat Electronic Attack System Program Office (ACEASPO) has an exciting opportunity for an APS5 Logistics Compliance Officer to contribute to Commonwealth core governance and assurance of complex logistics inventory management activities that contribute to Air Combat Electronic Attack sustainment health and readiness.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring Supplier performance with a focus on system health indicators and key performance indicators, and emerging supply system risks in line with Governance frameworks.
  • Planning, monitoring and reporting compliance, conformance and performance against an Enterprise level Logistics Management System within a business unit.
  • Exercising Corporate Governance through Auditing and Compliance activity on behalf of the Commonwealth, including leading and coordinating internal and external auditing, and data analysis reporting for Logistics functions and systems.
  • Assessing Logistics Information Systems for accuracy, currency and fidelity.
  • Utilising excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills to regularly liaise with Defence industry partners, military personnel and Senior Management.

About our Team

The Engineering Services and Logistics Assurance team is one of five Management Units within the Air Combat Electronic Attached System Program Office (ACEASPO) that is responsible for the planning and delivery of Air Combat and Electronic Attack (ACEA) capability, including Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) delivery and coordination of some FIC elements.


The APS5 Logistics Compliance Officer is a key position within ACEASPO and the wider ACEA Enterprise (ACEASPO, Industry Partners and End User - Air Force).

This role directly contributes to the effectiveness and efficiency of Logistics support provided to the Air Combat and Electronic Attack capabilities on a daily basis by focusing on best practice business management supported by streamlined and relevant processes and procedures.


You will be part of a small, specialised and dedicated team undertaking activities associated with Logistics assurance and broader governance of process, procedure and data integrity.

ACEASPO is located on RAAF Base Amberley within the city of Ipswich and the state of Queensland.

You will have the ability to:

  • Coordinate, monitor and report on governance compliance.
  • Identify risk and determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Take the initiative to suggest improvements to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice.
  • Manage a variety of concurrent tasks under competing time pressures.
  • Quickly absorb detail and disseminate information across the internal and external organisations to develop and foster stakeholder relationships.
