The Role
The successful Safety Advisor will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) operating standards, strategies, policies and practices to ensure the protection of employees, the community and environment in which the company operates.
This includes providing health & safety expertise, advice and training coupled with best practice quality assurance to support operations in line with legislation and relevant standards.
To be considered for this role
- Proven experience working in a handson Safety advisory role & knowledge of relevant legislative requirements and best practice
- Certificate IV in Work, Health & Safety (or equivalent/additional)
- Current Drivers License and the ability to travel to multisites
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships across a diverse portfolio of stakeholders.
- Demonstrate commitment to positively influencing safety performance through a culture of learning and collaboration

This position is a critical part of the safety team which requires the individual to drive best practice within the team and provide the following skills and attributes.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and enjoys working hard.
- Display initiative and can work autonomously.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, confidently speaking to all levels.
- Experience within the Utilities sector is highly desirable
