Use your passion and expertise to drive positive outcomes for our customers

It's more than a career at NAB. It's about more opportunity, more moments to make a difference and more focus on you.
You make NAB. You get it done for our customers and our communities. You're laying the foundations for NAB's future success. Together we'll grow, excel for our customers, and make this a workplace to be proud of.

It's a good time to see what more you can find at NAB as a Domain Consultant in Everyday Banking's Fraud, Scams and Disputes team.

The role
In this role, you'll help to develop and deliver products and services that exceed the expectations of our customers. You'll work on the design and implementation of fraud, scams and disputes related initiatives for Personal Everyday Banking.

This role will work closely with teams across NAB, including Group Investigations & Fraud, Financial Crime Operations, divisional control and second-line risk teams, and requires a deep understanding of the consumer payments industry, fraud practices, emerging trends, and regulatory and scheme requirements.

Day to day you will:

Work closely with cross-functional teams and senior management across the fraud value chain to:

  • Liaise between the business, specialist functions and IT to understand the problem statement and potential solution options
  • Develop a deep understanding of the end to end fraud, scams and disputes ecosystem
  • Investigate, analyse and assess opportunities for business improvements to mitigate and reduce fraud losses
  • Develop process models, data models, business rules, target operating models, workflows, reporting and other required outputs
  • Analyse business requirements and produce documentation for any new features or change to existing technology or business processes
  • Maximise value being delivered through alignment between business goals and technology solutions.

What you'll bring:

You have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and may also have relevant post graduate qualifications. Your 1st class analysis, communication and influencing skills underpin your exceptional stakeholder management expertise.

You should also be able to demonstrate:

  • In depth understanding of Financial Products, processes, and systems, ideally with experience and knowledge of the fraud end to end journey, with a focus on consumer payments.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst working in an agile environment, preferably in the banking or financial industry, including the ability to examine existing processes and develop improvements in a future state.
  • Comfort playing a leadership role, including leading workshops in a cross functional business through the discovery, development, and operationalisation stages of a change
  • The ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and analysis effectively to different audiences.
  • Handson, practical approach to solving issues, and driving for outcomes to balance financial losses, cost to serve and customer experience.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection and prevention strategies is a plus.
By joining our team, you are committing to putting our customers' needs first every time. You will be ambitious for growth, proactive, curious and enjoy learning from colleagues. You'll speak honestly, always valuing the time and opinion of others. You will own your work, doing what's right, even when it's hard.
