Description
Fabricates and assembles steel products (bissalloy, 350 mild steel)

  • Welding activities with MIG to AS1554 standard (minimum SP1).
  • Arc welding and automation.

We are currently looking to recruit Contract / Temp or Ongoing fabricators and Fitters for our Wetherill Park location.
Below is a brief as to what we are looking for.


Purpose


Based in our Sydney operation and reporting to the Production Manager, the key objective of the position of Metal Fabricator is to fabricate and assemble steel products.


Responsibilities and Objectives
The following are key activities and the main list of duties that are required to perform the position of Metal Fabricator:

  • Fabricates and assembles steel products (bissalloy, 350 mild steel), interpreting technical drawings to produce products to specifications. Assemblies from 2kg to 200kg.
  • Welding activities with MIG to AS1554 standard (minimum SP1).
  • Arc welding and automation.
  • Assembly of some products and ongoing miscellaneous maintenance at the operations site.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Tradesperson qualification (Boilermaker, Fabricator, Welder). Preferred.
