What you'll be doing


The Medical Imaging Administrative Support Officer is responsible to the Head(s) of department in Medical Imaging at the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

The position will provide high level secretarial and administrative support that ensures efficient and effective operations of the department.

  • Demonstrated experience of and capacity to provide high level support to Senior medical staff.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in a hospital or medical environment; previous experience in NSW Health
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills. This includes the ability to manage competing demands

  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative as well as taking a proactive and forwardthinking approach.
  • Demonstrated experience in rostering and the use of an electronic rostering or ordering system e.g., Healthroster, Oracle, ROB recruiting.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course (2 doses) of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
