Closing Date: 16/11/2023- Job Type: Temporary- Location: Gateshead- Job Category: Administration & Office SupportSt Mary's Catholic College Gateshead is seeking a temporary part-time (13 hours per week) Administrative Officer to join the team in 2024 for 12 months on Thursdays and Fridays.


St Mary's Catholic College, Gateshead, is a co-educational year 7 to 12 College founded in the finest tradition of the Josephite sisters.

The School Administrative Officer provides administrative support to school staff and the school principal.

Administrative Officers within the Catholic Schools Office, Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle may be classified as either a level 4,5 or 6.

Desired Skills and Experience:


EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school
  • Excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience using initiative and selfmotivation in the workplace
  • Demonstrated ability in accurately and proficiently performing a wide range of administration tasks
  • Intermediate experience and ability to work with various databases, Microsoft office programs and excel
  • Demonstrated capacity to organise, prioritise and multitask to meet various deadlines
  • An understanding and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work with the capacity and willingness to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to Comply or Compliance with the CSO Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead Policy. Category A
  • Accreditation to Work
  • Knowledge of Compass an advantage (Desirable)

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number
  • Completion of Anaphylaxis training

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020.
