About The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a WHS Systems Analyst to join our Risk Management Group based in Brisbane.


Reporting to the Manager - WHS Systems, Performance & Assurance, the primary objectives of this full-time role are to maintain and improve WHS related systems, execute WHS reporting requirements and improvement processes as well as analysing WHS data to identify trends and insights to support the business.


Key accountabilities will include:

  • Develop and prepare performance reports / dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders using Power BI or similar
  • Data extraction, gathering, mapping and cleansing as necessary
  • Analyse data and provide insights to stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and action opportunities for improvement in reporting processes
  • Act as the system administrator and QIC expert for the WHS digital system
  • Ensure updates to the system include stakeholder engagement, design documentation, process mapping and User Acceptance Testing
  • Communicate and articulate business requirements with internal and external stakeholders (vendors and service providers) and support the creation and execution of test scenarios / cases and testing
  • Lead system changes/enhancements including the implementation of new modules
  • Troubleshoot system issues, develop solutions and work with stakeholders to achieve timely resolutions
  • Design and deliver WHS systems training packages as required

About You:

You will hold Tertiary qualifications in the areas of business, analytics, data science or equivalent. You will demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills, paired with experience in a similar system administration role.

You will also ideally present with:

  • Advanced skills in MS Office 365 specifically Excel and Visio with intermediate skills in other MS Office software
  • Intermediate knowledge and expertise in the use of Power BI, including the ability to provide key insights and focus areas for improvement programs/initiatives
  • Knowledge in SharePoint design and setup
  • Sound understanding of IT system interfaces such as the function and setup of Application Programming Interfaces.
  • Competent in data import, export and manipulation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • High attention to detail; results focussed and commitment to getting the right outcome
  • Ability to respond quickly to change in a positive manner
  • Prior experience with Power BI reporting, WHS management systems, Beakon are all highly desirable
  • Understanding of WHS Legislation and frameworks
