The Position

St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital provides high quality public and private services to people living in the east metropolitan and Wheatbelt regions. Midland is one of our busiest hospitals, with demand for public services consistently increasing every year, making it a dynamic and fast-paced environment to work in.

We are currently seeking committed and motivated individuals to join our
Environmental Services team as
Lead Housekeepers.

The
Lead Housekeeper provides operational support to the Coordinator of Environmental Services to ensure high standards of cleaning, great patient experience and positive culture.

They also support caregivers in environmental services by role modelling best practice and positive culture, coaching and supporting the caregivers.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in leading/supervising a large team of 60+, if this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you

We are offering a permanent part time position up to 60 hours per fortnight. Seven-day availability and able to work all shift times including nightshift is required.

  • A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
  • Significant experience in cleaning in acute hospitals or similar roles
  • Well developed verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate good organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
  • Ability to work effectively autonomously or within a team.
  • An understanding of and commitment to quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading small teams
  • A high standard of personal presentation and punctuality.
  • Awareness of Infection Control Guidelines in a healthcare environment

Salary: $62, $63,230.17 per annum, plus 11% superannuation
