Oil & Gas - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)
NES Fircroft is collaborating with a global oil and gas company. Due to recent expansion, they are in search of a Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their Melbourne head office team. This position offers a long-term commitment with a highly competitive remuneration package.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring proper implementation of established reservoir management strategies and surveillance plans, making short-term adjustments to address operational constraints without compromising long-term reservoir recovery.
- Ensuring accuracy and accessibility of wellbore hydraulic models for Asset Level Team (ALT) technical staff through defined repositories/locations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and execute opportunities to enhance well performance.
- Identifying, validating, analyzing, and uploading pressure data, including clarification/validation of Pressure-Volume-Temperature (PVT) assumptions for fluid density, downhole parameters, and determination of missing parameters when necessary.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering.
- Experience in the upstream/petrochemical/chemical/refinery or a related industry.
- Acquired knowledge of petroleum engineering operations and production methods for oil and natural gas recovery.
- Familiarity with Reservoir surveillance/modeling, wellbore performance modeling, or practical reservoir pressure application like field surveillance and optimization.
- Proficiency in Production/Well optimization and Artificial Lift system and technology gained through practical experiences in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and optimizing well performance.
- Acquainted with Reservoir surveillance, production, or hydraulic modeling tools/applications, particularly Integrated Production Modelling (IPM) suite of tools.
