Company Overview:

A specialist retailer and wholesaler with foundations firmly established in its core market, it is no surprise that this business is booming.

Publicly listed, but with a deep family heritage, this brand has carved an enviable reputation for range, quality and an exemplary level of customer service.

A newly created opportunity has arisen within the Marketing team, which has more than doubled in the last 18 months, to support this rapidly growing business to maximise its industry exposure.


With private label and exclusive product brands being a key focus, the role will be the key brand ambassador representing the voice of the customer and consumer, where understanding key market trends and insights is your forte.


Snapshot of Responsibilities:


  • Working with the Group Marketing Manager you will manage the execution and lead the process with strategic partners to further develop and communicate the Commercial Marketing Calendar
  • You will build an annual brand plan and develop, execute and review effective marketing communication campaigns, sales promotions, and events. Including product guides, campaign catalogues, website, PR support, sponsorship activation, trade shows, and conferences
  • Create 'Go to Market' plans for key brand and product launches determining key selling channels, recommended market pricing and marketing support required for success, along with providing strategy input around the product innovation pipeline for your key private label categories
  • Externally you will engage with key product suppliers and utilise external agency partners across brand, research, design and media to best deliver the strategic initiatives.

What it Takes:


  • A foundation of Marketing experience,
    from either Retail/Trade or B2B settings from productbased businesses over services,** where relationshipbuilding and driving execution have been essential to your success
  • An understanding of product categories, channels, customers, suppliers and the competitive environment of your market segment and how best to target the customer audience.
  • You always act as the brand custodian, taking responsibility for all brand related issues. With a customercentric approach to your work where you will go the extra mile to ensure your stakeholders are on board for the journey and can see the vision
  • An innate ability to work pragmatically amongst an evolving structure and process, where you can juggle multiple projects at once, as well as roll up your sleeves to lend a hand where required
  • And of course, you will have wellestablished negotiation and interpersonal communication skills, coupled with sound commercial acumen and exceptionally strong written and presentation skills.
