To help us achieve this we're seeking a talented Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team.

About the role


Reporting to the Director of Finance and with one direct report, in this role you will deliver quality business partnering to the Chief Event Officer and her Leadership Team, working alongside key business decision makers, influencing and shaping financial plans and advising on future direction.

You will also help to deliver effective financial management, control and advisory support, assisting the business in understanding its financial performance; formulating strategies to achieve business targets; and improving its ability to forecast future performance.


  • In this role you will:_
  • Engage with leaders and team members from the Event Team and support them in achieving financial targets
  • Prepare monthly profit and loss reports in line with relevant accounting standards and interpret how this aligns to plans and strategy
  • Identify variances to budget and provide analysis and insight regarding these variances
  • Support the preparation and coordination of the Event budget and forecast processes
  • Ensure the finance team is complying with accounting policies and procedures
  • Ensure the integrity of the general ledger is maintained at all times
  • Provide support, oversight and input across key business decisions, contracts and activities
About you

  • What you will bring to the role:_
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills with the ability to partner and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financials in a commercial way
  • Forecasting skills with a forwardthinking approach
  • Knowledge of accounting systems, procedures and policies
  • Experience in managing and maintaining records associated with accounting activities
  • Experience providing a full set of management reports and an understanding of Fringe Benefit Tax
  • A strong understanding of the general ledger and accounting principles
  • A degree in Accounting and a qualified CPA or CA
  • You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
