Salary:
$175,000 + Super


Contract Length: 3 Year Fixed Term

Essential Industry Experience:

The purpose of this position is to work closely with external and internal stakeholders to ensure that the scope and business requirements for the Nationwide database Uplift project to reflect the needs of stakeholders and the organisation.

This position will establish and drive the industry and government consultation mechanisms for the project and will ensure the project remains aligned with the vision and scope defined through the Strategic Discovery Stage.

It will also ensure that the agreed policies, terms of use, data sharing and licensing arrangements are developed to support the system implementation.


On a daily basis you:


  • Work with stakeholders, the project team, and business consultants as a part of the Strategic Discovery Stage, to define the vision and scope for the project.
  • Actively engage with external and internal stakeholders to ensure that the system scope and business requirements reflect the needs of stakeholders and the organisation.
  • Establish and drive the industry and government consultation mechanisms for the project, including the Technical Reference Committee, and Industry and Government Reference Groups.
  • Ensure the agreed policies, terms of use, data sharing and licensing arrangements are developed to support the system implementation.
  • Develop the postdeployment stakeholder engagement model in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans as required, managing projects through development and implementation stages according to budget.
  • Design and develop strategies and processes, in consultation with team members/stakeholders/business consultants, which will support the implementation of the project.
  • Identify key stakeholders and work proactively to gain their support and endorsement by establishing contacts, conducting presentations/workshops and attending stakeholder meetings.
  • Identify risks effecting delivery of project outcomes and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with team members/stakeholders/business consultants.
  • Ensuring that Project contracts are maintained, obligations are delivered, variations are maintained.
  • Write or collate high quality presentations, reports and papers for the various Senior Leadership Group and industry councils.
  • Comply with the requirements of the company quality management system (all relevant procedures and work instructions) including contributing to process management and improvement of documentation.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

Livestock / Meat Production and Processing

  • Effectively managed large projects at various stages of the project lifecycle (from initiation to implementation).
  • Developed and maintained relationships across the entire organisation and acting as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders.


  • Project planning

  • Developing, communicating, and managing project plans / roadmaps, identifying key project activities and resource needs.


  • Risk Management

  • Identifying, communicating, and managing project risks.


  • Project Documentation

  • Producing project materials and presentations that support transparent communication, buyin and tracking.

Experience and skills

  • Minimum 5 years project or program management experience at a senior level
  • 5+ years' experience in developing and implementing business and product based strategies
  • Strong ability to lead and develop strategy and planning processes including structured problem solving in line with organisational and customer needs
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including building relationships with key stakeholders as well as strong presentation and facilitation skills working across diverse teams
  • Experience working with complex supply chains and multiple stakeholder groups across industry and government.
  • Flexibility and ability to work effectively in a complex and dynamic environment, to adapt quickly, and proactively manage and reprioritise multiple tasks to deliver results
  • Experience championing customerfocussed initiatives including refining a clear value proposition
  • High level project management and project execution skills
  • Ability to develop and implement project plans
  • Strong analytical and innovative problemsolving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage multiple projects at once
