The Equipment team is responsible for fleet acquisitions, fleet management, international maintenance and continuous improvement so that Toll can continue to provide service quality.


Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Permits & Accreditations Officer to join our Equipment team in Melbourne.

Reporting to the Equipment Design Manager, you will provide centralised management and support for equipment compliance tasks in the Permits & Accreditations space.

The team seeks innovative, proactive and strategic solutions to comply with and exceed regulatory requirements.

As the Permits & Accreditations Officer, you will:

  • Administer equipment permits & accreditations including Performance Based Standards (PBS), National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) and Main Roads WA, road access and other related permits and accreditations
  • Administer and set new equipment compliance schedules required under permit or accreditation requirements
  • Record & investigate data to ensure compliance
  • Liaise with government and other regulatory agencies as needed
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand operations and requirements for all programs that for part of the Regulatory requirements. This includes EWD, user guide for driver, mass reports setups
  • Ad hoc administrative/data entry duties as required (i.e. purchase orders)

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in permits and road transport compliance
  • Ability to provide advice and input to Equipment Compliance Manager on initiatives and issues
  • Understanding of National Heavy Vehicle regulations, standards, practices and policies
  • Thorough and practical understanding of CoR
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influencing and problem solving skills
  • Microsoft office suite expertise including Word, Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint
