About the role


Working as a member of our Positive Behaviour Support team, the Lead Behaviour Practitioner will provide clinical leadership and professional development support to the Behavior Support Practitioners in the provision of sustainable, quality and evidence-informed behaviour support practices and services for clients on the autism spectrum and their families.


This opportunity would ideally suit an 'Advanced or Specialist' Behaviour Support Practitioner with experience providing clinical support to early career Behaviour Support Practitioners, including clinical supervision, Positive Behaviour Support Plan reviews, and facilitating professional training & development.


This role is being offered on a permanent full-time basis commencing ASAP and can be based at either Tonsley or Elizabeth.

Regular travel between Autism SA office locations will be required.


Special requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Developmental Education, or another related alliedhealth field.
  • Current registration of membership of the relevant Australian professional association.
  • Registration as an 'Advanced' or 'Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner' under the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
  • DHS Working with Children Clearance (WWCC paid workers);
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (paid workers);
  • National Police Check (NPC)
  • Full COVID19 Vaccinations (including booster).
