About the Role:

Centurion Transport is looking for experienced Platform Drivers to transport and deliver over-dimensional and over-mass machinery and equipment to customer specified destinations in a safe and reliable manner.

What will your day look like?

Loading and unloading varying overdimensional and overmass machinery and equipment
Safely restraining machinery and equipment in accordance with NTC Load Restraint Guide
Transporting machinery and equipment to and from various locations Nationally
Completing prestart and other operational checklists and administrative paperwork
Complying with fatigue management and road rules and regulations
Complying with Centurion Company policies and procedures
Carrying and understand all statutory and regulatory permits
Attending and actively participating in routine safety meetings

Desired Skills and Experience:

Skills and Experience

Current MC Driver's License and clean driving record
Highly experienced operating a range of heavy haulage equipment, including platforms and low loaders
Highly experienced transporting overdimensional and overmass machinery and equipment
Experience in using load restraints including chains and binders
Forklift licence preferred but not essential
A sound knowledge of road transport legislation including fatigue management, permit requirements and operating conditions
Detailed understanding of heavy haulage road networks and remote locations
Good interpersonal, written and verbal skills
The ability to work away from home for extended periods of time
Safe driving record and commitment to create a safe work environment
