About the role
At

Back2Work, you'll aid individuals who face great challenges through unemployment. You will provide quality therapy and intervention to help individuals get 'job ready'.


In this role you will:


  • Provide health support to clients with physical health conditions, injuries and disabilities so they may find meaningful employment opportunities.
  • Build long term and effective partnering relationships with Employment Consultants working within Disability Employment Services (DES) and job active providers.
  • Create awareness and advocate for our unique health services and products to help job seekers find employment

Amongst your desired caseload you will

  • Using our 5 session short intervention model to provide health and work focused strategies so that the client can find appropriate employment
  • Conduct functional/physical assessments to assist with goal setting and determining the client's physical capacity
  • Utilise a strengths focused approach and provide personcentred interventions such as: pain management education, exercise prescription energy conservation and cognitive/mindfulness strategies
  • Use an evidence based biopsychosocial approach to guide clinical decision making and best practice
  • Promote independence through graded exposure and adapting of tasks, with a work focused perspective
  • Demonstrate a holistic approach with consideration of barriers and enablers to promote occupational engagement and performance

Back2Work are looking for This role requires the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multi and transdisciplinary allied health team.

In order to thrive in this role, its essential you have:

  • An approved Exercise Physiologist degree
  • Full registration or eligibility for ESSA Accreditation
  • Passion for advocacy and striving for occupational justice to support individuals within vulnerable demographics
  • Effective time management skills and ability to manage a caseload
  • Customer centric with a desire to drive strong client relationships
  • A valid Australian Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
