The opportunity
The

Research, Data and Evidence Manager is responsible for providing insightful information based on sophisticated analysis to inform effective decision making across the Silverchain Group. The

Research, Data and Evidence Manager is required to understand business objectives and context whilst using modern analytical techniques to derive value from our extensive data, visualising and sharing findings in meaningful ways.

Key responsibilities

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and develop timely data reports for the Research and Innovation portfolio of works, including research, optimisation, evaluation and innovation.
  • Perform sophisticated and contemporary data analysis to provide insights and analytical outcomes for service profiling, service design, research and innovation projects and evaluations.
  • Provide complex data extracts with recommendations and insights to help drive business outcomes. Liaise with the relevant data professionals within Silverchain to align methodologies and adhere to approved governance processes for data and report publishing.
  • Create meaningful data visualisations using contemporary techniques.
  • Manage the design and development of automated reporting procedures to facilitate the transition between labour intensive reporting to systembased reporting.
  • Work closely with the Data & Analytics team to facilitate knowledge transfer including technical skills, data governance processes and domain knowledge.

About you

  • Relevant post graduate qualifications in areas such as statistics, business intelligence, data science.
  • Demonstrated advanced experience in working with complex relational database management systems to capture and utilise data for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Demonstrated substantial experience in the production of advanced technical reports to design and manage reporting requirements for the business.
  • Significant experience analysing data for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in using data to provide key insights and in using insights to drive service / operational improvement and policy recommendations.
  • Demonstrated well developed conceptual, analytical skills and attention to detail to analyse specifications and review systems and produce accurate reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing queries, stored procedures or views using SQL.
  • Advanced Power BI skills for report and dashboard development, highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem, including Synapse and medallion architecture for data modelling, highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of statistical software such as SAS, Stata or SPSS, highly desirable.
  • Substantial experience in the health care industry to understand the working environment and reporting requirements, highly desirable.
