The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority, and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.


The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.


About the role


As a Registrar of the Magistrates' Court, perform appropriate legal, administrative and quasi-judicial functions relating to the day-to-day and ongoing operations of the Court, under limited direction from the Registrar of the court.

Provide information and authoritative advice on court and tribunal procedures and practices to relevant stakeholders.


About you
Qualified Registrar with broad experience across jurisdictions. Some experience of leading or managing staff would be considered valuable. You will act with integrity and professionalism at all times.

Demonstrate a high level of skill in operating relevant computer systems and working with less experienced staff to assist in their development.
