About the Role:
The Learning team is currently seeking multiple
Teaching Educators (Secondary English) to provide support to school leadership teams and teachers.
This position is permanent full-time.
The Teaching Educator is accountable for:
- Providing support to school leadership teams and teachers in the transformation of learning and teaching in schools.
- Developing, designing and delivering professional learning insitu and system wide.
- Promoting and implementing Learning priorities and initiatives in line with system strategy and evidencebased learning programs.
- Building teacher capabilities in contemporary learning and teaching practices.
About you:
- Successful secondary English teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- Confidence with, and expertise in supporting colleagues to plan high quality learning, using the new NSW English Syllabus
- Evidence of pedagogical leadership in Secondary English, informed by quality data, evidence and evaluative practice
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning and commitment to leading others in this area
- Evidenced effective communication, interpersonal skills and demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with colleagues
- Tertiary qualifications in Education or relevant field
- Working with Children Check clearance
