The role:
Commissioning Manager - Data Centre
Our client has won major projects with a leading Data Centre and as such, is looking to bring on a strong commissioning consultant to join the business and work on some exciting long term projects.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
Commissioning Oversight:
You will be responsible for coordinating and executing the commissioning process of data centre systems, including mechanical and electrical systems.
Your expertise will ensure all components are thoroughly tested and meet the required performance criteria, validating the reliability and safety of the data centres.
Familiarity with CIBSE and/or ASHRAE processes will be highly regarded.Project Management:
As a proficient multitasker, you are able to manage multiple commissioning projects simultaneously, liaising with cross-functional teams of engineers, contractors, vendors and the end-client.
Your exceptional organisational skills will guarantee that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.Quality Assurance:
You will implement comprehensive quality assurance processes, meticulously tracking and documenting all commissioning activities.
By conducting detailed inspections and audits, you will identify and resolve any issues, maintaining compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Collaboration and Training:
Fostering a collaborative environment, you will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless data centre integration.
Additionally, you may be involved in provision of training to Operations and Maintenance personnel, equipping them with the knowledge necessary to maintain optimal data centre functionality.
Innovation and Improvement:
Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, you will continuously seek opportunities to enhance data centre commissioning procedures, striving for operational efficiency and increased performance.
Your contributions to the team will encompass:
- Bachelor's Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, automation or controls, or equivalent experience such as Advanced Diploma or trades qualified in HVAC and / or refrigeration or electrical.
- Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Exceptional problemsolving skills with acute attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, everevolving environment.
