JOB CRITERIA

  • Possess Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Hold qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a diverse, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Demonstrate strong intellectual capacity and emotional intelligence suited to the role's demands.
  • Showcase analytical skills for effective problemsolving.
  • Exhibit leadership capabilities and the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Willingness to travel to sister site as required.
In addition, this role will also be responsible for:

  • Supervising and directing training, education, and onboarding initiatives within the company.
  • Formulating WHS policies, guidelines, and procedures to facilitate the effective execution of safety practices.
  • Conducting safety inspections and evaluations, ensuring adherence to company and legal standards, and implementing recommended measures as needed.
  • Producing safety reports and maintaining registers to transparently document safety accomplishments and current requirements/issues.
  • Coordinating risk control strategies and executing improvements to WHS processes and guidelines.
  • Engaging with pertinent industry organizations to uphold a high standard of WHS management competency and adopt best practices in HSE, operational risk, and environmental management.
  • Overseeing relevant safety committees and taking the lead in workers' compensation and injury management endeavours.
