Description
Join our Network Operations and Assurance Team in Brisbane, as a permanent, Field Technician. This is a busy and diverse role reporting to the Supervisor.


About the Role

You will be engaged in jointing / splicing activities and may supervisor the work of less senior jointers / splicers internal or external.

The role requires some travel and time away from home and will require you to be on an afterhours on call roster.


Duties include:

  • Jointing / splicing activities
  • Fault location and restoration using electronic location and testing equipment
  • Ability to scope civil works, supply mud maps and provide schedule of rates
  • Perform field and desk top audits
  • Identify potential hazardous situations and take corrective actions
  • Report on critical delays that affect delivery of projects
  • Ensuring that appropriate tools, safety equipment and materials are available to enable the timely completion of tasks
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards
  • Interacting with customers and employees at several levels

About You

It is mandatory that you have the follow:

  • NBN enable for required skills for the position


  • Traffic Management Level

  • Current first aid certificate
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Covid 19 Vaccinated (double)
  • Strong team player with ability to work autonomously
  • High attention to detail and strong time management
  • Sound communication skills written and verbal with a good level of computer literacy

Desirable skills:

  • Pole top rescue
  • Energex / Ergon access to poles
  • Electrical qualification
