As the successful applicant you will be part of North-West Metro Region which has over 3710 operational police, 343 Victorian Public Service employees which include 115 Police Custody Officers.

North-West Metro Region is at the forefront of the delivery of policing services to a large, diverse and challenging segment of the Victorian Community.


About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising (1) full-time ongoing, VPS-3 position within North-West Metro Region, Division 1, Richmond Police Station.

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and administration including supervisory duties of the team.

Your duties will include:


  • You will be a valued member of the team as you assist in a busy environment with your sound knowledge of preparing and processing various documents and managing the ongoing storage of accountable items;
  • Supervise the work activities, train staff and be accountable for motivating staff and provide performance feedback;
  • Role model a high standard of customer service and adopt best practice behaviours when dealing with clients or within the administration support team of Richmond Police Complex;
  • Establish and maintain a strong effective working relationship with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient business practices;
  • Provide advice and support to local and senior management on various administration issues.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing teams, developing staff and managing team performance;
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment through flexibility and achieving common goals;
  • High level problem solving skills;
  • A good knowledge of relevant policies and procedures;
  • Commitment and achievement in meeting a high level of customer service to all clients;
  • Strong computer skills.

Requirements and relevant information:


  • One (1) VPS3 full time ongoing position available.
  • Position located at the Richmond Police Complex, Church Street, Richmond. While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
