About the role:


As the Infrastructure Engagement Advisor, you will assist in enabling the delivery of infrastructure engagement activities that support the planning and delivery of business and capital projects to continually increase opportunity for meaningful project stakeholder participation, while managing risk and make a positive contribution to our reputation.

Your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:


  • Design, deliver and evaluate engagement plans and their identified tactics, to support the delivery of project or business objectives that effectively manage potential risks and/or provide opportunity for participation in our decisionmaking processes.
  • Provide advice and influence internal planning and decisionmaking processes to ensure our approaches anticipate, respond to, and minimise stakeholder related risks and impacts.
  • Take a frontline role in engaging face to face with stakeholders in various settings, including facilitating public forums.
  • Be an interface between internal business teams and our external stakeholders, to build understanding of each other's needs and priorities and negotiate outcomes that value and balance each.
  • Manage records of stakeholder interactions to understand key issues and trends and respond to stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain effective relationships with partner organisations to ensure the alignment of resourcing and practices to provide our stakeholders with a consistent and highquality experience with our business.

About you:

To contribute to Unitywater's values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Public Relations coupled with demonstrated experience in an engagement role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Welldeveloped organisational, planning and project management skills, coupled with strong communication skills and ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Research and problemsolving skills including the ability to synthesise and summarise complex issues, identify contentious and emergent issues and develop potential recommendations and/or implement options for their resolution as required.
  • Experience working in a dynamic small team environment, sharing information and contributing to a positive work environment.
