The opportunity
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for a APS5 Project Officer to join the Participant Advocacy Branch in assisting business areas in supporting the development and implementation of participant centric policies and services

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. APS 5 level role offering $53.63 hourly + Superannuation. This position will be based out of
Geelong.

This is a hybrid position, offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks, with 8-hour days expected.


About the role:


The APS5 Project Officer is a
team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility.

The position will be required to provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Supporting the production of regular reporting (including drafting briefs, research and policy documents) on participant insights to provide to Executive Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders
  • Assisting with analysis of quantitative and qualitative information to enable understanding participant insights of systemic NDIS issues
  • Maintaining and further develop the record management system for participant insights
  • Assisting with internal communications to coordinate NDIA stakeholders including scheduling and attending internal and external meetings, recording minutes and provide input where required
  • Coordinating and managing actions from meetings, working across the NDIA as needed
  • Developing and maintain strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders and collaborative relationships with external stakeholders as required

About you
-
Australian citizenship is a requirement to be eligible for this position:

  • Experienced in writing briefs or research documents suitable for senior leadership
  • Ability to decipher qualitative & quantitative data
  • Experience organising / supporting meetings
- stakeholder management experience, coupled with strong written and verbal communication

  • Strong organisational experience
  • Backgrounds within Government or Disability highly desirable
