About the role:
The Victoria Police Fleet consists of approximately 3600 vehicles and is expected to increase over coming years.
The Administration Support Officer role is located at 20 Dawson Street, Brunswick and is responsible for the following duties.
- Changeover and disposal of approximately vehicles per year including updating systems and ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide reception and security gate operations to the Dawson Street complex which on average see visitors and enquiries per day requiring assistance.
- Provide police members with assistance with work orders to have equipment serviced by the on site contractor.
- Provide back up support to other areas within the Transport Division as required.
Your duties will include:
- The position will undertake a range of administrative support functions including maintaining fleet systems, attending to counter and telephone enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- The position will process a range of basic standard reports and administration functions.
- The position will assist with basic receiving of courier deliveries and distribution of these.
- The position will provide back up support to other areas within the Transport Division as required.
- Inspection and movement of commissioned and decommissioned vehicles.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- A knowledge of motor vehicles and a basic understanding of Fleet Management.
- You must possess a current Victorian Driver's Licence and hold or qualify for a Victoria Police White Class driver authority within three months if successful.
