This role will see you complete meaningful work with residential clientele that is not only needed but also appreciated.

Providing a variety in the complexity of job types, you can look forward to a consistent workload providing stability and security of work.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Handyperson is responsible for coordinating and completing a variety of general residential repairs (preventative, corrective, and reactive maintenance) whilst ensuring that a high-quality standard of work is achieved.

They are also responsible for acting as a customer service ambassador for their clients.

Description


This role is responsible for a variety of gardener-related tasks, as well as the completion of additional tasks that may be required during quiet periods.

Overall, the key areas of responsibility include (but are not limited to):


  • General Repairs / Doors /Locks/ basic painting
  • Handson experience in working with Tools
  • Ability to communicate well with property management and maintenance staff.
  • Excellent understanding of building and construction
  • Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
  • Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance
  • Minor & major Handyperson skills
  • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provide quotes to potential clients
  • Managing and owning jobs
  • Closing jobs, when completed and ensuring notes and photos, are attached.
  • Liaising with the helpdesk and communicating any updates or changes to jobs.
  • Follow the correct Health & Safety Processes
  • Any other ADHOC duties as required

Profile

  • Full unrestricted Australian working rights
  • White Card
  • Working at Heights certificate
  • 5 years' experience in a Handyperson or similar role
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible manner and be part of a team
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Be selfmotived and show initiative in the delegated areas of responsibility

The following are highly desirable but not essential:

  • Trade qualification
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills
  • OH&S Training and Certificates

Job Offer

What's on offer
Successful applicants can look forward to receiving a base salary of up to $65, % superannuation.

In addition, our client will also provide a fully maintained vehicle (including a fuel card), all the tools and equipment that are required, a company mobile phone, and a uniform.

Regular overtime (paid after 38 hours) is also available.
