How will I help?


Working closely with the Executive Assistant to the Chief Economist of Westpac Group you will be a self-motivated person who needs little supervision, you will be pro-active, flexible, and adaptable.

Your experience and organisational skills will help support the business by providing professional administrative support.

As required, you will also be working closely with the Business Manager of the WIB Chief Operating Office to provide administrative support to the broader team.

You will take ownership of tasks and will be responsible for completing general administration activities including but not limited to:

  • Diary Management support to a senior member of the team
  • Coordination and planning of customer and team events
  • Expense management processing staff PCards, reimbursements, invoices (both domestic and foreign payments) via WEAPS and Promaster
  • Booking domestic and international travel
  • Onboarding/Offboarding and transferring of staff
  • Monitor and ensure teams are compliant throughout the year for mandatory training, AFMA Continuing Education hours, compliance leave
  • Ad hoc administrative tasks

What do I need?


To be successful in this role you will be a self-motivated person who needs little supervision, you will be pro-active, flexible, and adaptable.

You will have prior experience in a Team Assistant role requiring diary management of a senior stakeholder.

You will have a keen eye for detail and work with a sense of ambiguity.

You will be able to work independently as well as be a team player and be a problem solver for the team.


Ideally, you will also need:

  • Capability to interact with and manage colleagues and stakeholders of all levels
  • Events planning experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office skills (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Ability to be proactive and manage issues and their outcomes
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality on all issues relating to the team
