The primary purpose of the HR Business Partner is to work in partnership with Business Units to help them build and maintain a high performing workforce by:

  • Understanding and planning for current and future workforce needs;
  • Recruiting the right people
  • Managing, developing, rewarding and recognising employees in a safe and productive environment
  • Managing change and transition of employees

About the Business


Human Resources in AGD is a multidisciplinary and dynamic team who aspires to improve the wellbeing and performance of the workforce.

Human Resources supports the Department through employee relations, organisational change, workforce wellbeing, training, organisational development, psychological services, and workforce data and reporting.


Special Conditions for Employment
Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory. Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested.
