Project Officer Road Safety

Part-Time (0.5 FTE / 19 hours per week)

$102,760.32 per annum (pro-rata) inclusive of superannuation guarantee


We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a flair for writing and website designing social media, communications and promotional content to join the RoadWise team at WALGA.


This role will suit someone with experience in developing and coordinating a range of communications for a variety of audiences.


As Project Officer Road Safety, you will develop and administer projects and campaigns to enable and support Local Governments in contributing to the implementation of the Western Australian road safety strategy.


Your role will include researching, developing, and designing a variety of written, visual and verbal communication resources suited to the Local Government sector.

You will also participate in the planning process for RoadWise projects, campaigns, and communications.


If you have demonstrated experience in project development and administration with an emphasis on communication, design and research, then this role is for you.


We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated experience in the design and development of tools and resources for promotional events.
  • Welldeveloped research and project planning and delivery skills.
  • Welldeveloped conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive written communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of the different social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of digital management tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft SQL system and Spark CMS or similar.
