About the role

  • To provide efficient pharmacy services that is aligned to organisational goals and legislative standards.
  • To contribute to patient care by undertaking advanced clinical support tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a pharmacist.
  • The Advanced Scope Pharmacy Assistant is recognised as part of the Pharmacy Assistant leadership team and works closely with other Advanced Scope Pharmacy Assistants and the Pharmacy Assistant
  • Team Leader to provide support to a large and diverse team.

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate, supervise and liaise effectively, with an understanding of the scope of practice in a complex and demanding work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan, perform and evaluate quality improvement activities under the guidance of a pharmacist and the Pharmacy Assistant Team Leader.
