South Western Sydney Local Health District is recruiting for an Health Manager Level 1 to complement and enhance the current rostering department.

What You'll be Doing

The Rostering Best Practice Officer Role primarily is responsible for performing analysis of health organisation roster data and is responsible for realising the potential benefits attainable to the organisation.

In addition, the role will source and manage the rollout of any rostering system enhancements and improvements and will coordinate communications with key stakeholders to develop and maintain resourcing material to promote and improve rostering practice in line with the principles of rostering best practice and the roster capability framework.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience related to rostering, human resources information systems and workforce reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the complexities of 24hour rostering practices and a high volume, fast paced NSW Health environment
  • Demonstrated experience in training and development of all levels of staff in the use of workforce HRIS related roster systems
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting and advising staff on relevant legislation, policy, awards and agreements relating to awards, pay and roster systems
  • Demonstrated welldeveloped analytical and problemsolving skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret data and prepare written reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and proven ability to maintain effective relationships with staff and internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a demanding environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused and cost efficient approach
  • Sound understanding of and experience in effective use of information systems and a highlevel computer literacy, particularly working with databases, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office and use of electronic rostering systems and human resources information systems
