Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage EL2 Program Manager - CLAIMS & PAYMENTS IMPLEMENTATION for a 12 months assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD.

About the Team


The Claims and Payments Transformation Program comprises a small Program Management Office (PMO) along with two key project delivery teams; the Claims and Payments Improvement team and the Claims and Payments Integrity team.


The Claims and Payments Improvement team is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of transformation initiatives to increase payments and claims quality, efficiency, controls, correctness and outcomes.

This includes ensuring claims and payments processes are optimally included in improvements relating to CRM Software.

The Claims and Payments Integrity team includes functions for payments assurance control testing and sampling. It reports on outcomes of assurance activities and assists with remediation. It is also responsible for establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships to improve the payments control environment.

The team is responsible for implementing detective and preventative measures that will reduce claims and payments error and improve compliance.

This is achieved by a combination of manual validation checks and systematic risk & behavioural analytics.


About the Role

The EL2 Program Manager is accountable under broad direction to undertake work with a high level of complexity or sensitivity that delivers quality outcomes across the project management functions of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

The position will exercise a significant degree of independence and will use a high-level of decision-making and judgement.

The role will be required to coordinate and assume responsibility for highly complex or sensitive projects and work program outcomes across the functions that have strategic or operational significance to the NDIA.


The EL2 Program Manager is responsible for initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Where required, it will represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA's interests in cross-agency, inter-jurisdictional and other forums.


Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and further developing the PMO to bring a high-quality project delivery framework to the program.
  • Developing and implementing program and project plans, governance arrangements and operational integration in accordance with the Agency's project management framework.
  • Ensuring program and project deliverables and milestones are met while reporting on project outputs/outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Preparing and reviewing written material including business cases, plans, reports, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating and monitoring program and project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies.
  • Analysing project performance, setting strategic direction and priorities to coordinate quality management activities to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose.
  • Developing and delivering optimisation initiatives to support service improvement and performance in line with strategic objectives.

  • EL2 the Rate is to be determined by market expectation, skill set and experience per day + super
  • Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend
  • Standard Hours or work
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm
