Why Your Role Matters:


The Head of Strategic Initiatives & Development Communication will be responsible for developing, leading, and delivering multi-faceted strategic initiatives that enhance and support critical fundraising efforts and University priorities.

This role requires high level interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships. This role reports to the Director of Development and works closely and collaboratively with the Development Team.


Responsibilities:


  • Senior external stakeholder engagement
  • Develop collateral and write complex communication toolkits
  • Project and initiative development
  • Successfully liaise and provide expert knowledge to staff across the University
  • Lead the performance of strategic initiatives and Development communication

Who You Are:


An experienced philanthropy and communication professional with an entrepreneurial approach who takes a leading role in achieving fundraising goals in support of UNSW's key strategic initiatives.


We are also looking for:


  • A deep understanding and passion for philanthropy
  • Experience in fundraising and communications
  • A proven track record with targets and high net worth individuals
  • Diverse stakeholder management partnered with high interpersonal skills
  • Resultsfocussed organisational and project management skills
  • Proactive and comfortable working in an exciting and fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
