Our Operating Suite consists of 10 Theatres covering a range of specialities, including Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, General, Bariatric, Vascular, Breast and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

We are also home to the only private Hybrid Operating Theatre in Western Australia.


_About the role:

The Infection Control Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, education and evaluation of effective Infection Control standards for the entire hospital whilst providing leadership, support and training to the wider team.


As the Infection Prevention and Control Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Have overall responsibility and take a leadership role for Infection Prevention & Control practices and strategies
  • Have a good understanding of Infection Prevention & Control practices, implementing risk management strategies to protect patients, staff and visitors, from acquiring a healthcare associated infection and provide a healthy working environment for all staff
  • Ensuring the hospital operates in accordance with applicable standards and complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements as well as striving for continuous improvement.

Essential Criteria:


  • Current authority to practice as a registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant health professional qualification and experience, demonstrating a high level of clinical nursing knowledge, clinical experience and skill in acute care nursing
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in an infection control position in a hospital environment
  • Exercises professional knowledge in providing complex care and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead, develop and implement strategy programs for the hospital
  • Demonstrated experience in ensuring the hospital operates in accordance with applicable standards and complies with regulatory and accreditation requirements
