Core Talent are working with global company, who specialise in the automotive industry in their search for an experienced maintenance superviosr & fitter who can work across day shift.


  • This role will be split between supervision and also day to day maintenance work. Working on fully automated equipment, you will be responsible for reactive and preventative maintenance along with continuous improvement activities, implmentation of prevenetive maintenance systems and team leading.

The role:


  • Supervising the daytoday maintenance operations, Preventative and reactive/breakdown maintenance.
  • Daily maintenance, fault finding, troubleshooting, and machine repair.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance requirements. Implement, measuring and monitoring a Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Maintain both new and old machinery.
  • Problem solving and making decisions to ensure ongoing performance of the business.
  • Manage all Facilities contractors and requirements in conjunction with legislated requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering to develop a lifecycle model and roadmap for new equipment.

Required skills:


  • Ability to impliment and drive a prevenetitve maintenance programme.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to modify, replace and commission mechanical equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge about fillers, closers, packaging equipment, palletisers and conveyor systems.
  • Able to use all workshop machines e.g. Lathes and milling machines.
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with automation or robotics desired.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft suite, computerized maintenance management system).
  • Strong problemsolving analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Motivated worker with good attitude towards peers.


You will be a key player in the development and growth within the Maintennce department and in time progress into process improvement, reliability and capex planning.

The role requires a trade qualified maintenance fitter.
