Goterra is a Canberra based ag-tech startup company building sustainable solutions to the critical global challenges of food waste and climate change.
At our head office in Hume, we design and build modular infrastructure (MIB) to process food waste using insects. Our diverse and multidisciplinary team has expertise in engineering, manufacturing, software, electronics, agriculture and biology.We're expanding our operations and seeking energetic and motivated MIB Service Technicians to support our modular waste management units which will soon be operating in Sydney.

With support from Goterra's Canberra-based team, the MIB Service Technician will:
- Conduct daily service inspection of robotic unit and supporting mechanical infrastructure
- Conduct mechanical, electrical and electronic system checks
- Operate robotic machinery via PLC / user interface
- Operate pumps and other machinery to manage material flow through the system
- Undertake basic fault finding and troubleshooting in response to service issues
- Remove material contaminants and blockages if needed
- Document service incidents and responses
- Communicate service status updates to delivery team
Requirements:
You'll have:
- Experience in an Service Technician or role (preferred)
- Strong mechanical and problem solving skills
- Physical ability to undertake tasks associate with the role
- Flexible and adaptable nature with a high level of initiative and ownership
- High levels of digital literacy. You are a skilled and adept user of Google Workspace, cloud based platforms, and social media and messaging platform
- Experience with pumps and/or hydraulic systems and/or HMI (preferred)
- Experience with PLCs and/or user interface for operation of machinery (preferred)
- Yellow Card or RIIHAN301B-Operate Elevated Work Platform (preferred)
- Mechanical Trade Certificate III
- Diesel, Automotive or Plant Mechanic or equivalent (preferred)
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transport
Appointment Factors:
- A successful Proof Of Identity and Right To Work In Location/Australia 100 Point Identification Check is required for this position
