Manager, Cultural Reform - Brisbane, Australia - Queensland Health
Description
The roleReporting to the Director of the Cultural Reform Team, Strategy and role will be responsible to lead and work in partnership to develop policy, planning (including health needs analysis and assessment) and project management tasks related to the evidence-based investment in health services, aimed at improving the health for First Nations people in Queensland.
This role will require innovative thinking in its approach to eliminating institutional racism and racial discrimination within the health system in driving health equity for First Nations people in Queensland.
The successful personYou will have demonstrated:
- Demonstrated understanding of historical and contemporary issues affecting First Nations people and subsequent health impacts.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with First Nations people and organisations.
- High level ability to critically analyse and interpret data and information to underpin policy and strategy development, health service planning and performance monitoring.
- Capacity to undertake and lead required tasks and projects, including the coordination of input from other parties, with limited supervision and be responsible for meeting agreed timeframes.
- High level knowledge of health priority areas; the health needs of key population groups; and key health system issues as they impact on First Nations people.
