THE POSITION


As a Production Team Leader, you will coordinate all aspects of the production activities, which will include but not limited to the people management, coordinating operational activities across production, compliance activities related to production.


This person is responsible for the operation within the Production, supporting the Manager with the day-to-day management of their Production area, overseeing a group of members and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets.

Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer.

Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.


This person will manage production staff across filling, labelling, Inspection, Central Processing, Chews except production senior coordinators (which will still have direct reporting to Production Manager).

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Identify hazards and risks in the area and follow up (or assisting) on action plan to closure to ensure workplace is safe and minimize the ergonomic risks.
  • Performing timely GEMBA's in production to ensure the safety and quality of product being met as per specifications and also ensuring team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
  • Manage, coach, motivate and develop the production team to attain personal and company goals.
  • Daily Crewing and staff management including staff training and onboard new staff.
  • Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in production compliance including
- raising and updating CDR's, Updating and reviewing of SOPs and related documents, VQ's, CR's, Deviation investigation and report writing to completion.

  • Attending production breakdowns and coordinating corrective actions with relevant departments.
  • Suggest improvements to improve efficiencies and safety.
  • Review of production plan and streamlining as efficiently as possible. Escalate timely on any resourcing and equipment requirements to meet production plan including staff overtime requirement.
  • Coordinating daily management of batches across production and coordinating movements of materials and batches between production and other relevant departments.
  • Assisting and coordinating stock management of consumables used in production.
  • Leading daily morning meetings with production staff and following up on action items with relevant key stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal audits and follow up on action plans to completion.
  • Participate in multifunctional investigations to drive to root cause of any incidents.
  • Participate in all other aspects of production as required by the Production Manager.

WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years' experience within the pharmaceutical industry (human or veterinary).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory/management role.
  • An awareness or competency in cGMP/cGLP
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong writing skills relevant to quality documents and reports
  • Be able to work autonomously and as a team.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with personnel from all levels.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to identify potential issues while making timely and accurate decisions.
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Strong desire to grow and progress within department.

Job Types:

$70, $90,000.00 per year
