Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 18 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of three years.
A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.

The Opportunity
Multiple exciting opportunities at the APS4 level are anticipated for individuals with a broad range of backgrounds to help establish, develop, grow and deliver the Agency and its strategic outcomes.
Your can-do attitude, attention to detail, and planning and organisational skills will enable you to effectively contribute to a variety of roles and outcomes across the Agency.
These roles will allow you to work under general direction on tasks of moderate complexity, develop or hone functional expertise and contribute positively to the Agency and its culture.
Flexibility and adaptability will be important, noting some roles may evolve over time as the Agency develops.This recruitment process will be used by hiring managers to fill a range of roles across the Agency, including:
- Core
corporate functions for the Agency. - Delivery of
secretariat support, including for the Advisory Board.
Policy Development roles, including coordinating and researching regional transition policy across Government.
- Support for the Agency's
industry,
investment,
regional and
worker functions, including supporting
engagement with industries, investors, regions, unions, communities, and governments to support decarbonisation. - Administration
- Secretariat support
- Project management
- Policy
- Workplace Relations
- Program management
- Stakeholder engagement
- Business planning
- Procurement
Tasks may involve:
- Undertaking a variety of tasks and activities within the business areas to support the above functions.
- Coordinating requests for information across business areas.
- Assisting with project/program management.
- Preparing briefing materials, submissions, reports or correspondence.
- Undertaking analysis and research projects.
- Other generalist tasks as required and directly related to the Agency.
A merit pool may be established and used to fill the same or similar vacancies for 18 months from the date of advertising.
