The Opportunity

Goal Group is seeking an experienced Defence Industry Security Program Specialist to join our team as Senior Consultant, engaged in varied assignments with our clients in the Defence sector.

This is a part time position with potential to develop to full time if suitable opportunities become available.

This role can be based at Canberra/Melbourne/Sydney/Newcastle.

You may be involved in:

Delivering DISP training to various clients and stakeholders, via both online and face to face methods.
Researching changes to legislation and other activities pertinent to clients and their compliance obligations including identifying 'red flags' with a keen eye to relevance and impact on clients.
Development or improvement of client Technology Control Plans.
Data Management review / consolidation and organisation of current client records or assisting with internal compliance reviews and audits; and conducting spot checks on processes and/or creation of audit/Compliance Check methodology.
Preparing periodic reports based on agreed set of KPIs as well as reporting noncompliance, corrective actions and impacts.
Consulting work relating to Defence Security (DISP), including, but not limited to, working with clients to understand their obligations as part of the program, and implement their actions to become compliant.
Preparing DISP documentation for clients to ensure they meet the program requirements.
Delivering advice on governance, personnel security, physical security and cyber security requirements directly related to the DISP.

About you

You will hold a current Australian security clearance at NV1 or ability to obtain one. _Please note, only Australian Citizens are eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance_
Experience in DISP/ Security Management governance, personnel, physical and information/cyber
Experience in interpretation and implementation of government policy relating to the Defence Industry Security Program
Experience in delivering DISP
Tertiary qualifications in international commerce, economics, security, policy or international relations will be highly regarded.
