Our client is Australia's premier food manufacturer with a longstanding focus on outstanding quality and is seeking an experienced

Production Manager
to join the team permanently in Jandakot.

Hours:
Monday to Friday (6am to 2pm)

Salary:
$70,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of production and demonstrate a handson management approach in a food manufacturing environment.
Lead and actively participate in the HACCP team by undertaking verification, monitoring, internal auditing and corrective actions as required.
Coach and develop team members to promote an inclusive, enthusiastic workplace with a goaloriented mindset.
Lead day to day operations of site facility including developing, reviewing and executing manufacturing processes in line with company standards.
Plan production in accordance with sales data, raw material availability and budget requirements.
Meet determined production targets and perform associated administration.
Identify & implement operational process improvements.
Lead with and encourage a safetyfirst attitude with a strong focus on OHS practices.
Develop and review food labelling in accordance with FSANZ standard.

Pre-Requisites:

Essential

Strong knowledge of and experience with HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices
Proven experience in team management within the food industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent computer literacy familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
Sound understanding of food allergens and their appropriate handling
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure
Sound knowledge of safe food handling practices

Desired

Qualifications in competitive manufacturing, HACCP and/or commercial cookery a strong advantage
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience highly regarded
