Our client is Australia's premier food manufacturer with a longstanding focus on outstanding quality and is seeking an experienced


Production Manager
to join the team permanently in Jandakot.


Hours:
Monday to Friday (6am to 2pm)


Salary:
$70,000 - $100,000 (depending on experience)


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all aspects of production and demonstrate a handson management approach in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Lead and actively participate in the HACCP team by undertaking verification, monitoring, internal auditing and corrective actions as required.
  • Coach and develop team members to promote an inclusive, enthusiastic workplace with a goaloriented mindset.
  • Lead day to day operations of site facility including developing, reviewing and executing manufacturing processes in line with company standards.
  • Plan production in accordance with sales data, raw material availability and budget requirements.
  • Meet determined production targets and perform associated administration.
  • Identify & implement operational process improvements.
  • Lead with and encourage a safetyfirst attitude with a strong focus on OHS practices.
  • Develop and review food labelling in accordance with FSANZ standard.

Pre-Requisites:


Essential

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Proven experience in team management within the food industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent computer literacy familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Sound understanding of food allergens and their appropriate handling
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure
  • Sound knowledge of safe food handling practices

Desired

  • Qualifications in competitive manufacturing, HACCP and/or commercial cookery a strong advantage
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience highly regarded
