  • The objective of this role is to manage the development and maintenance of ongoing relationships with landowners and communities in Upstream areas in accordance with applicable legislation, Land Access policies and procedures.
  • The role includes the management of all aspects of landholder issues for the Upstream area, including the negotiation of landholder agreements, landholder relationships during construction, landholder engagement in rehabilitation post construction and for general operational activities.
  • This role requires a strong focus on project management and stakeholder management to facilitate timely access to land and to manage issues arising during operational activity through engagement and negotiation with landowners with a consistent, fair approach.
  • Specific aspects of the role include:
  • Develop and manage enduring and positive landowner relationships
  • Capture and record all appropriate interactions with landholders and other relevant parties in the stakeholder management system (SMS)
  • Consult with landowners to inform them of Company objectives, access requirements and likely impacts
  • Liaison with landholders to ensure adherence to agreed protocols and management of issues arising from construction and operational activities
  • Negotiate access to land
  • Undertake land access negotiations using Company's compensation framework
  • Document and manage information and agreements using agreed systems, tools
  • Report and resolve legacy issues and grievances in an acceptable and timely manner

Dimensions:

  • The individual in this role has authority and influence in the organisation through their understanding of landowner needs and concerns and through their interactions with landowners
  • The incumbent is responsible for the efficient use of their personal time to ensure all tasks are achieved within allocated project plan milestones, or timelines given
  • Well defined personal values and a commitment to ethical conduct are essential to this role as is discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality of commercial arrangements with landholders
  • You must be effective as a team member working with both field colleagues and Brisbane based personnels

Skills & Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Company's Policies and Standards relating to Land Access (preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of Land Access Code, P&G Act and other appropriate legislation
  • Verifiable performance and delivery working as a team member, preferably within Land Access or similar undertaking
  • Ability to develop and maintain rapport with a broad stakeholder group both internal and external
  • Experience with managing landholder relationships
  • Interface with discipline specific contractors to support delivery of technical requirements including participation in negotiations
  • Demonstrated experience operating in a role which required building and maintaining strong professional relationships with stakeholders
  • Previous exposure to rural / farming business and communities and/or experience in resource/infrastructure sector within a rural context
  • Previous experience in a relevant industry is preferable
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Good understanding of farmrelated activities, concerns and business practices
  • Client serviceorientation
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, computer proficiency and attention to detail are critical to this role
Additional Infomation- Role will involve field work including frequent travel to remote locations to undertake core job responsibilities

  • Lone work is contemplated
  • Driving in a rural setting is required
  • Travel beyond the basin and to locations such as Brisbane may be required from time to time
  • Duties may be required to be delivered across a broad span of hours with both early and late starts to suit the needs of the business
