About the role


This role will play a critical part in designing and implementing a robust data governance framework across the Elders Group across the various Elders business units.


This is a unique opportunity to grow your career and help shape the technology landscape and data governance framework of Australia's most trusted agribusiness.


Responsibilities:

The Elders Data Governance Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Working with stakeholders to understand, prioritize and document business data quality, data governance requirements, processes and technical needs
  • Helping create, update & support policy development, standards and processes relating to data management and data quality for our data domains
  • Conducting data profiling and analysis of existing datasets to identify & categorise critical data elements and sensitive data;
  • Proactively contributing to the continuous improvement of the existing data governance landscape with initiatives
  • Supporting the overall uplift of the Elders data culture and capabilities
  • Monitoring data quality metrics, reporting on data quality issues and provide recommendations for improvement;
  • Supporting the monthly data governance committee (attendance, deliverables, initiatives);
  • Establish fit for purpose data management processes to govern incoming & new data into Elders

About you:
To succeed at Elders as a Data Governance Analyst, you will have:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a data governance analyst and/or project management role, or in a data or risk related role within a large organisation or consulting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies (including data quality, metadata management and data lineage)
  • Strong communication & stakeholder management; this role requires high engagement with the various Elders business units
  • Experience working in an Agile project delivery model environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong sense of ownership and self starter
  • Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment
  • Familiar with, or have experience with the Alation Data Catalogue platform is desired
