YOUR NEW ROLE


The Safety Operations Manager's focus is managing day to day BAU safety team business, including continuous improvement, strengthening risk management, safety management system and meeting organisational safety lead and lag KPIs.


The role works with the Head of Safety and internal stakeholders to realise efficiencies and improvements across the business and be an ambassador for safety culture change.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

  • Tertiary qualification in health or safety (or similar), extensive practical experience in a WHS management role, with a record of success in delivering risk and WHS strategies and initiatives.
  • Proven extensive experience in the identification and management of WHS risks and the development and implementation of comprehensive and effective Safety Management Systems, preferably in complex, multiple site and/or high visitation operational environment with contracted service arrangements.
  • Demonstrated incident investigation experience, and sound skills in interpretation and analysis of data.
  • Experience in implementing WHS and risk management audit and assurance processes.
  • Excellent training, and presentation skills with demonstrated experience in developing and delivering safety training programs and presenting performance results to stakeholder.
  • Leadership and staff management skills, particularly within project / operational teams of high performance professional staff.
  • Proven financial management and budget management skills.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including, negotiation, influencing, coaching, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly selfmotivated, resultsorientated professional with a strong personal motivation to improve health and safety in the workplace.
  • Working with Children Check Clearance.
