Position Summary:


Working within the highly secure Transmissions department, the Transmissions Operator is responsible for the uploading, ingesting, and quality assurance of digital assets for Deluxe's OTT and Theatrical clients.

In addition, the Transmissions Operator will also be responsible for the delivery and reciept of working assets, archiving and restoration of content, as well as the up keep of production SAN's.

This role is critical in supporting our Operations and Client Services teams. Ensuring all content is available within our propriety tool so we can deliver to, and exceed our clients expectations.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • The upload and ingest of digital assets into our proprietary tool
  • Identify and describe the severity of any issues that may be present
  • Delivery and receipt of working assets via multiple protocols (Aspera, Signiant etc.)
  • Archiving and restoration of assets from/to LTO
  • Upkeep and maintenance of production storage
  • Ensure work assignments and status updates are timely and accurately recorded in operations systems.
  • Must effectively analyze and communicate information to resolve issues and concerns as they arise.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Engage in ongoing training programs as necessary.
What you Bring

  • Common knowledge or understandings of basic techniques and workflows in postproduction
  • A basic understanding of file formats, frame rates, aspect ratios, and codecs
  • The ability to follow instructions, juggle multiple priorities, and solve problems involving several concrete variables in a busy production environment
  • Strong computer skills are required (Windows/Mac/Linux, Excel, Word, web browser, FTP, Aspera, Signiant).
  • Exposure to digital video/audio encoding systems
  • Highly detailoriented, maintains low errorrate, while also being productive and efficient
  • Flexibility working a rotating roster
  • Experience in LTO workflows
  • Aspera and Signiant knowledge
