The Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine is Australia's most comprehensive forensic medical facility. We serve the Victorian community and the whole of the Victorian justice system, especially the courts.
We provide the justice system with evidence to underpin safe convictions and appropriate acquittals.
Our doctors help investigate deaths reported to the Coroner, examine alleged offenders and assess, treat and support victims of crime.
The Donor Tissue Bank of Victoria supports patients and their families by providing safe tissues for transplantation and medical research.

About Us:
The Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine (VIFM) is an independent statutory authority governed by the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine Act 1985 (the VIFM Act).
About the Role:
The Cyber Security Analyst will be required to advise on and establish an organisation-wide information security program to ensure that the organisation complies with standards and beyond minimum requirements.
Some of your main duties will include:
- Developing and communicating corporate information security policy, standards, and guidelines.
- Contributing to the development of organisational strategies that address information control requirements.
- Identifying and monitoring environmental and market trends and proactively assesses the impact on business strategies, benefits, and risks.
- Leading the provision of authoritative advice and guidance on the requirements for security controls in collaboration with experts in other functions such as legal and technical support.
About You:
- Advanced knowledge of SIEM/SOC/IR technologies /vendors.
- Advanced experience in developing IT Security frameworks and policies.
- Extensive experience in implementing ACSC Essential Eight maturity levels, NIST or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of security concepts/practices/implementation/review and auditing.
- Demonstrated experience in providing ICT support (e.g., 4+ years)
