About the role


We are looking for an
Operations Support Superintendent to lead a multidisciplinary team and deliver improvement initiatives across all areas of our department.


The
Operations Support Superintendent is a critical leadership role that provides both short and long-term strategic support to the Rail Operations departments across safety, production, projects, partnership, people and cost initiatives.

The role is a key interface to internal workgroups, project teams and provides coordination and input to the departmental strategy development.


This role is a great opportunity for a strong communicator who has the ability to influence multiple stakeholders to ensure safe production goals are met.

Working a FIFO role from Perth / Residential role in Wickham on a 5:- 4:3 roster reporting directly to the Manager of Rail Operations, you will:


  • Work closely with the leadership team to contribute towards site improvement and longterm sustainability projects
  • Lead the Production, Contractor Management and Projects teams
  • Use data to identify safety, productivity and cost improvement opportunities
  • Oversee initiatives endtoend with support from the team
  • Assist with conducting risk assessments for project works

About you


Along with a motivated mindset and proven experience in leading high performing teams, you will also have the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.

Your communication skills will be paramount in this role, with the ability to negotiate and influence.

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have a strong ability to translate data into improvement initiatives.


You will have demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment, all with an unwavering commitment to safety.


Where you will be working


With two roles available, one will be based at the Tom Price depot, FIFO from Perth and one at the Cape Lambert depot, nestled in the residential town of Wickham and offered within a residential capacity.

Both roles are offered on a 5/- 4/3 roster (9-day fortnight).
