Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Administration Officer on a contract until 29/09/2023.


Position Overview

Duties & Responsibilities:


_Planning_

  • Provide practical support to the RESS FSP to manage inboxes and correspondence, tasks, issues, and interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure prioritised issues for the Future Science Platform's attention are effectively managed.
  • Support the FSP Office in the planning and delivery of FSP activities and events.

_ Coordination_

  • Assist the FSP in coordination of material needed for reviews and reports.
  • Manage or contribute to administrative projects or issues as necessary (e.g. research projects, visiting scientists, publication records).
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings or other events, including booking rooms, resources, travel, transport, equipment, and catering.
  • Provide general administrative support for FSP activities.

_ Day-to-Day Management Support_

  • Assist the FSP Director and Program Manager to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Anticipate calendar and deadline challenges and coordinate to find solutions.
  • Provide the FSP Program Manager in daytoday operational support.
  • Ensure other staff engaged in the FSP are supported in sourcing and retrieving information.

_ Travel_

  • Undertake domestic and international travel arrangements for the RESS FSP Office.
  • Acquit travel expenses, reconcile credit card statements, process payments, and raise invoices as required.

_ Teamwork_

  • Proactively build relevant networks and work collaboratively with colleagues within the FSP team, other administrative staff members, relevant business units and across Agency to facilitate effective and efficient administration processes.

_ General_

  • Adhere to the spirit and practice of Agency's Values, Health, Safety and Environment plans and policies, Diversity initiatives and Zero Harm goals.
  • Undertake additional duties as required for the FSP as directed by the FSP Director and Program Manager.
