anzuk are working with a high achieving co-educational Independent School located in the inner-South of Melbourne.

The Opportunity

Daily Organiser


A Daily Organiser ensures classes of absent teachers are appropriately covered to minimise the impact on student learning and welfare.

The Daily Organiser will be responsible for the co-ordination, management and implementation of short-term teacher replacements for teacher absences.


Because of the nature of this role, and managing staff absence before school starts, the hours for this position would be 7am until 3pm (Monday to Friday).


Job tasks and responsibilities:


  • Act as the first point of contact in the event staff members are absent; and inform all staff daily with regards to all absences within the respective campus and their replacements.
  • Arrange and follow up teaching replacement materials, ensuring all CRTs are provided with these materials for their respective classes.
  • Anticipating the events on the school calendar and planning for school organisation on special days.
  • Understanding staff needs and special circumstances in the allocation of additional duties.
  • Oversee any excursion arrangements or other extracurricular activities organised throughout the campus.
  • Maintaining a database of CRT's and casuals which may be called in in the event of a staff absence.
  • Maintain a list of spare periods allocated to each staff member as part of their load, and a cumulative list of the totals taken.
  • Ensure the incoming CRT's are compliant to teach and possess a VIT registration or Working With Children Check.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:


  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students and colleagues from culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in the use of office systems and various software relevant for the position.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and growth.
